Dykema Gossett, PLLC is a national law firm with over 400 lawyers and Government Policy Advisors in thirteen offices across the United States.
I was brought to Dykema to manage the creative services team and assist in organizing, managing, and creating workflows and processes to help reduce turnaround times and balance workloads across the groups the creative services worked. This included many lawyers, business development managers, IT, web teams, administration, and many otherworked on, and was responsible for, a number of initiatives. From ads to branding, CRM and email marketing to website management. My journey began with creating out concepts for large reports that fit within brand guidelines and could be populated in hours following delivery of copy and data and quickly grew to encompass the development recording of process documents ranging from headshot processing to ad request submissions. With many opportunities presenting themselves across many fronts, I was quickly able to upgrade and integrate many systems that were in need of addressing. Such items included integrating CRM systems with our internal master data, detangling outdated and questionable outomation, upgrading analytics tools to current, building out process documents for multiple operations, building submission forms, instituting bi-weekly team calls, and working directly with firm leaders to ensure all processes followed both legal and firm guidelines.
One of my proudest achievements was the development of the firm’s 100 anniversary design. With the absence of clarity, information, and direction from leadership, I built out a number of directions to help leadership start the conversation regarding branding for the firm’s centennial. The presentation was successful and resulted in both further exploration as well as the direction the firm took for the final design. Both the initial presentation and second round exploration can be found here and here, respectively.
